As a thought leader and subject matter expert, Joe brings decades of real-world experience to his writing and speaking. He previously served as head of Learning & Development for Physician Services at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC), where he directed learning strategy and implementation for one of the largest physician groups in the U.S. Prior to his years of service in healthcare, he spent a decade working in leadership and program development roles in student affairs in higher education and taught leadership courses at two major universities. Joe has appeared as an expert in multiple media outlets including Forbes, Fortune, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal and the International Business Times.
