Melissa Boggs is a leadership and culture strategist who brings energy, insight, and authenticity to every stage—beginning each keynote by lacing up her roller skates in front of the audience. She creatively uses roller dance as a live metaphor for courage and forward motion.
With over 20 years of experience in business, leadership, and product development, Melissa knows firsthand the tension between innovation and fear, between dreaming big and playing it safe. Her most-requested keynote, From Cautious to Courageous: A Live Roller Skating Journey (That Will Move You!), blends personal storytelling, leadership insight, and movement to help audiences shift from hesitation to action.
Melissa’s programs are ideal for organizations and associations navigating change, seeking to reignite creativity, or ready to equip their people with the tools to take thoughtful risks. Audiences consistently leave her keynotes feeling empowered, energized, and better equipped to lead themselves and others.
Melissa holds certifications including Certified Enterprise Coach (CEC), Certified Team Coach (CTC), and Dare to Lead™ Trained. She serves on the board of the Meetings Industry Council of Colorado and the National Speakers Association of Colorado.
Her message is memorable, but more importantly—it’s actionable. And in a world full of noise, Melissa delivers something truly unique: momentum with meaning.

From Cautious To Courageous

Behind every major innovation, cultural shift, or personal shift, stood one person willing to embrace a new possibility: the idea that what is not currently true, real, or done – can be. These individuals not only saw those possibilities, but took action.

In a time where change is fast and necessary, organizations worldwide are struggling to unleash that kind of action in the creativity and innovation in their teams. While we are constantly seeking the next big idea, there seems to be a consistent disconnect between what we see and what we are willing to do.

In this 60-minute talk full of nostalgic music, laughter, and substance, I share the lessons of possibility through storytelling and roller-dance.

Using skate choreography to demonstrate the lessons in real time in front of the audience, I weave together a story of courage, community, and care in both the workplace and the rink—showing that, in the end, the lessons of risk-taking, vulnerability, and self-reflection apply wherever we are.

This journey outlines the steps necessary to take us from fearful and frozen to courageous and creating value and change.
