For more than 28 years I have traveled upwards of 200 days-a-year helping people and businesses be more successful. How have I earned the credibility to do this sort of work? Here is a little bit of my background.

At 26 I was the CEO of an international Rockefeller foundation, overseeing projects in 20 countries. Just two years later Inc. Magazine named me one of America’s Up and Coming Young Business Leaders. I have also been recognized as one of the Top 100 Business Thought Leaders in America, one of the Top 100 Small Business Influencers in America, one of the Top 50 Small Business Experts in America and one of the top 500 Leadership Development Experts in the World. The American Management Association named me one of America’s Top 50 Leaders to Watch along with Sergey Brin and Larry Page of Google and Jeff Bezos of Amazon. I was also shortlisted by the highly prestigious Thinkers50 as one of the top eight in the world for their Distinguished Achievement Award.

I have accomplished all of this through my driving passion to be of service to organizations and executives that want to get better and I assist my clients through training, executive coaching and as a keynote speaker and workshop facilitator in the areas of leadership, high-performance teams, organizational culture, and strategic planning. I have worked for numerous Fortune 500 firms, small to medium-sized businesses, and professional associations and have built my entire career on making complex business ideas simple and actionable.

ACHIEVING BUSINESS EXCELLENCE

This is John’s most intensive business improvement workshop and was created specifically to help a management team take a hard, honest look at their business and determine exactly where their strengths and weaknesses are, and then create a focused plan for how to succeed at a higher level in the marketplace.  John has presented this program to CEOs and senior managers in more than 200 companies with extremely positive results.

THE FUTURE OF LEADERSHIP

Based on the more than five years of intensive research that John carried out to write his book “Excellence By Design: Leadership” as well as his personal experience working with some of the world’s top leaders in business, government, higher education and the non-profit sector – this program will identify the key characteristics of outstanding leaders in a clear, straightforward and practical manner.

Taught as a mixture of lecture, group discussion, individual and group workshops, this program teaches participants the fundamental skills and attitudes necessary to be an effective leader and the tools to implement a successful leadership development action plan for improving those skills

BUILDING A WINNING CULTURE

Based on the findings of a national Gallup poll, the Great Places to Work Study, the Firms of Endearment Study and John’s personal experience working in some of the top companies in America, this session focuses on what it takes to build and sustain an organizational culture that creates highly satisfied, engaged and loyal employees who possess an “ownership mentality.”  The goal of this program is for attendees to understand the importance of creating and supporting a culture that embraces change, fosters accountability, has a strong sense of urgency and maintains disciplined execution in order to deliver the required business results.
