​I was one of VERY few black, female chemical engineering majors at my school.  The decision to pursue STEM has been the cornerstone of my career, and one I recognize was the ONLY choice for me. But the reality is a significant portion of the engineering and advanced manufacturing workforce will soon retire and the growth percentage of young workers is not keeping pace.  And the rate of minorities pursuing STEM degrees is even more stalled. So I’m telling my story to inspire a robust pipeline of diverse STEM talent.
