Blake Vogt is a magician, inventor and keynote speaker who has built his career around one question: How do you turn an impossible idea into something real?
For more than a decade, Blake has worked behind the scenes creating original magic and illusions for some of the biggest names in entertainment, including David Copperfield and David Blaine. His creative work has also contributed to the Now You See Me films, Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp, and numerous other major entertainment productions.
Blake’s own performing career has taken him around the world. He was a semifinalist on America’s Got Talent, has appeared four times on Penn & Teller: Fool Us, performed twice on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and has appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden and The Today Show. He currently performs as a Featured Guest Entertainer for Disney Cruise Line, presenting his original magic in their 1,000-seat theaters.
But the part of Blake’s career that fascinates him most is not simply performing impossible things. It is figuring out how to create them in the first place.
That became the foundation for his keynote, Creating the Impossible.
When David Copperfield was considering hiring Blake, he asked what good ideas Blake could promise to bring to his team. Blake replied, “I promise you zero good ideas. But I promise I’ll be the guy who never runs out of bad ideas.” That answer got him hired.
Today, Blake uses that philosophy to challenge the way audiences think about creativity. Through storytelling, audience participation and astonishing original magic, he demonstrates why great ideas often begin as bad ones, why failure and experimentation are necessary parts of creativity, and why the people willing to explore seemingly ridiculous ideas are often the ones who discover something extraordinary.
The result is an experience that combines the energy and entertainment of a world-class magic show with a genuinely different perspective on creativity, innovation and turning ideas into reality.
