At the age of nine, Laura was diagnosed with an eye disease and faced the difficult reality that she would become blind. Over the next ten years she experienced the traumatic transition of adjusting to life without sight.  Laura adjusted to her new normal and was able to move forward in life as she graduated from Arizona State University with a BA in psychology. She then was the first blind student to receive her Masters of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.  She is the author of the book, Harnessing Courage. Laura founded Ubi Global, an organization that provides speaking and coaching to empower all people to overcome challenges and obstacles with grit and gratitude.

Navigating Change Cultivating Resiliency

Organizations and leaders are constantly experiencing difficult situations.  Often the challenging circumstances will prevent organizations and their leaders from reaching their maximum potential. Many times leaders are striving to navigate through each challenge rather than creating an environment that cultivates resiliency. Laura Bratton’s Keynote provides practical applications when asking the question: How do we navigate through change? Through Laura‘s life experience of becoming blind as a teenager and through her book, Harnessing Courage, she empowers all people to create a foundation of grit and gratitude.

Key takeaways:

  • Balance daily challenges while continuing to have the greatest impact
  • Cultivate a life of grit so that goals are achieved
  • Develop a life of gratitude regardless of the circumstances
