When asking the question, “what do people need right now?” Simon Bailey thinks the answer is a purposeful pause.

As we recognize the pressure cooker experience this year has been it’s important to remember that we are human and we do business, life, etc. with other humans. The prolonged adjustment of the pandemic has got us all feeling a little fried and now it’s time to prioritize wellbeing.

We’ve all struggled with expectations for how we thought this year would go. How could we be kinder to ourselves?

With so much of our time spent online, how could you disconnect to decompress?chang

Simon’s challenge is to take some time today for you.

Here are a few Simon’s go-tos:

Go for a walk. Change of environment can be powerful, especially if you can get outside after all the time we’re spending indoors – socially distanced of course.

Meditate. If you’re new to meditation, there are tons of free videos on YouTube as well as some amazing apps Calm, Headspace, or my favorite Unplug.

A little something special. How can you turn today into a celebration? Maybe it’s doing something different for dinner, ordering from a place you haven’t tried before, or treating yourself to something sweet.
