Recently my wife, son, and I had dinner at a nice Italian Restaurant.  We were impressed, when our service provider introduced herself as Amanda, and then wrote her name on the paper tablecloth.  What was really impressive, was that she wrote her name upside down so we could easily read it, and easily remember her name.  What a cool idea!  Now there was no way we would forget Amanda’s name.  She was taking responsibility for providing a fantastic dining experience.  What are you doing at your business that’s unique, that makes you stand out from the crowd? 

I suggest that you regularly bring your team together to share ideas about unique and fun service experiences they’ve had.  I like to use the CASE method; Copy And Steal Everything.  Please do not break copyright laws, but notice those experiences that make you say “WOW” and then find ways to incorporate those ideas into how you serve your customers.  After all, it’s the little things that make a BIG DIFFERENCE.
