I’m Juli Burney with a moment of clear thinking and a quote to share “One does not discover new lands without consenting to lose sight of shore for a very long time” -Andre´ Gide. How applicable! I was just talking with a friend of mine who was going through a transition in her relationship and feeling uncomfortable. It made me think about how many people have been dealing with reorganization at their workplace? Or redefinition of their relationships. Isn’t this like losing sight of our shore? We are such creatures of habit that when life patterns change and we feel uncomfortable we think that something must be terribly wrong. Perhaps, we feel lost at sea. However if we truly want to take steps forward, in our relationships, in our careers, and in our discoveries, we really must consent to lose sight of the shore. That uncomfortable feeling just means that we are changing from a comfortable pattern and that can be a good thing.  Today, don’t be afraid to set sail. Ahoy, matie!!!
