Appreciate The Relationships You Have Right Now by Humorist Juli Burney

This is humorist Juli Burney with a moment of clear thinking and I have a confession to make.  Last night a friend of mine called.  She was having a hard time with her significant other and she needed to talk.  Well, I understood this, because I think that we have all at one time or another had a hard time with our significant others, so I wanted to be there for her.  The thing is that she called 10 minutes before the movie, I had been watching for almost three hours, was going to be over.   What do I have to confess?  I was actually torn between listening to my friend and watching the movie.  In fact, I tried to do both for a few minutes and realized that it was impossible to pay attention to two things at the same time. Then I chose my friend, I mean after all they will run the movie on TV again won’t they? The thing to remember is that real life needs to be addressed while it is happening, television life can be caught in the reruns.  Life is not a dress rehearsal, and seldom are there reruns. Appreciate the relationships you have right now.
