ROSS BERNSTEIN helps companies and organizations think and act more like champions. Ross is the best-selling author of 50 sports books and has appeared on thousands of TV and radio programs over his career, including CNN, NPR and ESPN, as well as on the covers of the Wall Street Journal, New York Times and USA Today. As an internationally recognized motivational business speaker, Ross uses inspirational sports stories as a metaphor for life and for business to energize and connect his audiences — challenging them to not just be ordinary, but to make a difference and be extraordinary.  The DNA of champions is truly unique... who are the champions on your team?

From groups ranging in size from 25 to 5,000, Ross regularly speaks to corporations, sales teams and trade associations throughout North America — specializing in the topics of "Values & Integrity" and "Ethics and Accountability." Ross' action-packed keynotes are inspirational, memorable and fun. His PowerPoint presentations feature hundreds of huge color photos which are chock full of poignant stories, practical wisdom and valuable take-aways that audience members can bring back to the office and start applying immediately. As a conference opener, Ross sets the tone right out of the gates with his high energy and engaging stories; while as a closer he wraps-up on a high note — leaving attendees energized, inspired and ready to get back to work.

In addition to Ross' signature program, "The Champion's Code," which can be given in increments of time ranging from 45 minutes to four hours, Ross also offers a very popular secondary program that can be given as either a keynote or a break-out as well, entitled "Do You Believe in Miracles?" — which chronicles the amazing story of the gold medal winning 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team and it's fiery coach, Herb Brooks. (Ross currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of the Herb Brooks Foundation, a cause that is truly near and dear to his heart.)

Ross and his wife Sara have a nine year old daughter and presently reside in Eagan, Minn. Score a goal by booking Ross to keynote your next event, he would love the opportunity to be a member of your team for the day!

Ross' Signature Program:

"The Champion's Code: Life Lessons of Values & Integrity From the Sports World to the Business World"

The difference between athletes and champions is the "code" that they choose to live by. Champions are leaders, both on and off the field, and their DNA is truly unique. In the world of sports, champions understand that there is a fine line between cheating and gamesmanship and they know that crossing that line means that they will have to either pay a severe price or suffer the consequences. They also know that winning at all costs is fleeting, whereas winning with honesty and integrity is meaningful and everlasting. Ross Bernstein spent five years researching and interviewing more than 500 professional athletes, team captains, coaches, general managers, referees, umpires and media personalities for his nationally best-selling series of "Code" books, which chronicle the unwritten rules in sports, and in his presentation he uses that wealth of information to educate, enlighten and inspire his audiences — challenging them to question their own personal and professional principles and values in order to become better bottom-line leaders. Key issues covered include:

• How champions are able to motivate others around them...
• How champions take responsibility and do things the right way, with respect...
• How champions lead by example...
• How champions use toughness as a strategy and tactic to win...

In his program, Ross identifies the eight unique characteristics and traits that are common among champions, which he then ties into poignant stories and life lessons that translate directly to business. To do so, Ross uses an engaging and entertaining PowerPoint presentation which features hundreds of huge photos of athletes in action that reinforce his content-rich stories. Audience members will leave with an entirely new perspective on leadership from a champion's point of view.

They will learn that champions aren't necessarily those who have won championships; but rather they are those who live and play by a higher standard. Champions possess unique moral compass' which allow them to abide by their own code of honor. It's the way they conduct themselves when no one is looking; the way they train; the way they prepare; the way they treat their teammates; the way that they come through in the clutch, the way that they play hurt; the way that they inspire others; and the way that they play whatever role that is asked of them. By the end of the session everybody will be able to clearly define and create your own personal and professional "code," or mission statement, which they can take back to the office and start using immediately — in order to be more productive, ethical and accountable leaders.
